1945.

Launching of the company: In 1945, a familiar factory called Embutidos La Berciana is created in El Bierzo, a county located in the northwest of Spain.

 

1969.

New factory in Ponferrada: With the sales increase and the appreciation of our product all over the region, we set up at Ponferrada, in the slope of El Pajariel Mountain, that gives name to our brand.

 

1985.

A new project for the distribution of products from El Bierzo starts nationwide. Subsidiaries are created in Madrid, Catalonia, Galicia and Balearic Islands.

 

1995.

We start our exporting activities in collaboration with 4 other companies. We currently export to most of the European Union countries and some outside the Union.

 

2006.

According to the market trends, we decide to invest in the self-service market with the creation of our new slicing and packaging site.

 

2007.

Due to the involvement of all our departments in the constant improvement of the production process we obtain the highest level of the BRC and IFS certification. This guaranties food safety and high quality.

 

2011.

A new production site is set up in Bembibre (a town also located in El Bierzo) that, joined to the previously existing one, reaches 10 000 square meters. This new site triples our production capacity.

 

2012.

These new technology installations and our high qualified team provide to EMBUTIDOS PAJARIEL all the requirements to succeed in the current market.
